clinical exercise (pilates)
Clinical Pilates is the original form of Pilates developed by Joseph Pilates over a century ago to rehabilitate injured WW1 soldiers and, subsequently, to strengthen and condition dancers. It uses the Pilates reformer, trapeze table and wunda chair as well as some props in order to strengthen core muscles, improve postural awareness and flexibility. It is suitable for anyone, of any level of fitness as well as those rehabilitating from an injury. An initial 1:1 Clinical Exercise assessment with a Physiotherapist will be required prior to starting a 1:4 class in order for a tailored program to be developed for your rehabilitation needs.
